The Shops at the Docks - Part 1 UPLOAD PT 2

Updated: May 6

Hey there, fellow artists!

Ah, the joys of creating! Today, I invite you to join me on a whimsical journey as I bring to life a charming seaside dock community. Read on for a glimpse into the artistic process that brought this painting to life!

Adding a Subtle Glow:

First things first, I applied a coat of Liquitex iridescent medium. Why, you ask? Well, to infuse a subtle luminescence into the scene, of course! Because who doesn't love a touch of magic in their artwork?

Sketching the Vision:

With a trusty HB pencil in hand, I began sketching out my design. My goal? To evoke the vibe of a cute, welcoming, and oh-so-cared-for little seaside community. Think quaint cottages, bustling storefronts, and salty sea breezes—pure coastal charm!

Colorful Storefronts:

Now, let's talk color! I reached for a vibrant palette, because let's face it, dull just won't do for this lively scene. Cadmium red, light magenta, ultramarine blue, hookers green, and cadmium-free orange—all dancing together in a symphony of hues. And of course, a dash of titanium white to create those perfect tints.

Applying with Precision:

Armed with my trusty angular shader brush, I set to work applying the paint. With each stroke, I carefully brought to life the vibrant storefronts, infusing them with character and charm.

The End... or Is It?

And just like that, the video ends. But fret not, this is merely the beginning of our creative journey. Stay tuned for Part 2, where I'll unveil the continuation of this seaside saga in another video.

Until then, keep creating, keep exploring, and never underestimate the power of a little charm in your artistic endeavors! ⛵✨
